Careers at Parkvets

Join Parkvets

Want to enhance the quality of life for pets and owners?

Our teams of vets and nurses are all specially selected not only for their exceptional veterinary skills and knowledge, but also for their compassion and people skills.

CURRENT JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Senior Veterinary Surgeon – Parkvets Hospital

We are looking for a new Senior Vet to join our busy and dedicated team.  The successful applicant will be a great team player, bringing experience and a willingness to share that knowledge, to the practice.  They will also be able to take the lead in challenging situations and to guide less experienced colleagues through case management and development. We have all the toys and tools needed to provide the very best in patient care and we are extremely supportive of development into new areas and techniques.

Working a 40 hour week over 4 days, inclusive of 1:4 weekends, and providing second-on-call support for our night vets, you will manage your own cases, have regular surgery time and be part of shaping the direction of the practice.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience, level of qualification and areas if interest.

If you have experience and drive, along with ambition to be the best vet you can be, then Parkvets could be the perfect fit for you.

If you would like to express an interest in joining the team, please send your CV and letter to dianeheron@parkvets.net.

Junior Veterinary Surgeon – Parkvets Hospital

Looking for that all important second job?  Then our flexi-vet role could be perfect for you.  The successful candidate will still be at the beginning of their career, but will have already honed their routine skills.  Consulting and routine surgery skills will be well developed and their thoughts will be turning to the next development opportunities.

Parkvets provides a supportive and forward thinking environment in which our less experienced vets thrive.  There is a generous CPD budget and access to the excellent range of IVC Academy’s, where we make learning and development a social activity as well as an educational one.  We use a system of mentoring and coaching to support newer vets and actively encourage ideas around new techniques and services.

Working a 40 hour week over 4 days, inclusive of 1:4 full weekends and 1:4 half weekends, our Junior Vets work across all sites,  including the hospital, covering absences and days off whilst also having a regular weekend pattern.  The role is an ‘entry’ to the practice and most of our Junior Vets soon move on to take charge of a branch clinic before progressing to a hospital role.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

If you are bursting with potential and have the drive and ambition to be the best vet you can be, then Parkvets could be the perfect fit for you.

If you would like to express an interest in joining the team, please send your CV and letter to dianeheron@parkvets.net.

Client Care Assistant

Parkvets is on the look out for confident and customer focused candidates to join our Client Care team.  The role is as diverse as it is satisfying, putting you at the heart of the practice, whilst you make a real difference to our clients’ experiences.  Whether you are on the phone or on the front desk, your communication and organisational skills will help  you to manage a busy workload, and your warmth and empathy will help you to bond with clients and their pets.  If you want to work 20 hours per week and can be flexible about timing and location, if you love animals and like cleaning, then send your CV and covering letter to linda.goldsmith@parkvets.net.
